Go on an adventure when you are in Stone Mountain and feel an adrenalin rush.

The outdoors is alive and kicking at the Stone Mountain, a city in Georgia that is home to the world famous Stone Mountain Park, the state’s No. 1 tourist attraction.

Start your day at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center & Activity Building where you can take a dip at the indoor competition/lap pool, indoor instructional pool and outdoor leisure play pool.
You can also hike at the one-mile paved multi-purpose trail for that needed cardio exercise or experience its two giant waterslides, river channel, bubble bench, vortex and water play structures.
But your visit to Stone Mountain will never be complete if you won’t stop by at the Stone Mountain Park, Georgia’s most visited attraction.
Nestled within a 3,200-acre of land, the Stone Mountain Park is a unique destination that offers great experience to visitors through a variety of attractions, entertainment and recreation facilities.
Kick off your visit by trying the Sky Hike, Georgia’s largest family adventure course in the treetops.
You can also watch a 4D movie or get mesmerized by the Lasershow Spectacular, the world’s longest running lasershow held in the evenings during summer.
You can also try the park’s other attractions such as the Summit Skyride, Ride the Ducks, Antebellum Plantation and Farmyard, The Great Barn, Camp Highland Outpost, Scenic Railroad, Great Locomotive Chase Adventure and Geyser Towers.
Or you can play at the golf course and visit the museums.
The Stone Mountain Park is the also the host to the world’s largest high relief sculpture, the Confederate Memorial Carving on the mountain which depicts three Confederate heroes of the Civil War — President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson.
After your visit to the Stone Mountain Park, trek to the Yellow River Park and enjoy staying at its pavilion after taking the 12-mile soft surface trail designed for mountain biking, hiking and equestrian.
Or you can also sweat out at the one-mile paved multi-purpose trail.
DeShong Park is another great place to go to while in Stone Mountain.
At the park, you can do horseshoe pits, play at the shuffleboard courts and chess/checker tables, or practice being a dribbler at the basketball court.
There’s also a 1.5-mile paved and multi-purpose trail for your cardio exercise.
Stone Mountain Golf Club, located at the foot of Stone Mountain, is a great place for golf enthusiasts that can provide the perfect challenge for any skill level.
